‘Gamja by Park, Young-gyu’ is a representative novel in Korean contemporary literature. (The title ‘Gamja’ means 'Potato'.) It is about a woman's tragic life, her name is ‘Bok-nyu’, and the story begins with when Bok-nyu steals potatoes at Mr. Wang's potato patch. Potato becomes main carrier object in this novel.

I found that chapter flow is very interesting in this novel.
There is innocent virgin ‘Bok-nyu’ at the first chapter, but as chapter goes further, she gets more and more depraved, then she gets killed at the end.

I thought this is interesting to be converted into a conceptual typography story book in humorous way. I took ‘potato’ image as a main object, and as the story goes by, the image of a potato turns into fries, chips, mashed. (getting crushed) And at the end of the chapter, image of ketchup appears which means her death (blood).
Those images tell how badly the main character becomes depraved. And also typography layout becomes more experimental too.
